Start an automation from a webhook

Give any website or service its own URL that starts a Greenbubble automation when it POSTs JSON.

1

What it does

Some systems (a storefront, a checkout, a marketplace) can send a webhook but have no native Greenbubble integration. The Webhook Received trigger gives each flow its own inbound URL. POST any JSON to it and the flow starts with that payload as flow data.

2

Set it up

Open Automations and create or edit a flow. On the entry card set the trigger to Webhook Received, then save the flow — the inbound webhook URL appears on the entry card. Copy it and point your storefront or service at it (POST, JSON). Add the messages, delays, and conditions you want after the trigger, then publish.

The URL contains a private token; treat it like a password and only share it with the service that should start the flow. A flow must be published (active) to accept webhooks.

3

What to send

Send a JSON body. If it includes a phone number — phone_number, phone, customer.phone, billing_address.phone, or shipping_address.phone — Greenbubble finds or creates the contact and runs the flow for them. Every other field is available to your nodes as payload data. For example: { "phone_number": "8140933041", "first_name": "Kunal", "cart_id": "abc123", "checkout_url": "https://store.com/?cart-resume-id=abc123" }.

4

Stopping on conversion

To cancel reminders when the shopper pays, send a second webhook (or use an order trigger) and add a condition or stop action for that contact. The dedicated Connect → Abandoned Carts integration cancels the drip automatically.
